Key responsibilities
- Supervise laboratory teams and allocate workloads to ensure timely sample processing
- Maintain compliance with clinical, quality, and safety regulations (e.g. NATA accreditation)
- Implement and monitor laboratory quality assurance systems
- Provide staff training and support professional development
- Oversee laboratory audits, reporting, and corrective actions
- Communicate with healthcare providers, research staff, and senior management.
