Junior Data Analysts help manage and analyse data that supports clinical research, public health projects, or operational decision-making. They assist with data preparation, cleaning and basic analysis tasks, and contribute to reports, charts, summary tables and other visual tools that help people understand the data.

These roles are well suited to people who enjoy working with data and are keen to build practical skills in health, research, or policy environments.

Junior Data Analysts typically work as part of multidisciplinary teams that include researchers, clinicians, data scientists and project managers.

Key responsibilities

  • Clean and organise datasets for analysis or reporting
  • Perform basic statistical or descriptive analysis
  • Create charts and summary tables that help people understand the data
  • Help prepare reports and presentations for internal or external use
  • Help check data and reports for errors or missing values, and make sure everything follows team standards
  • Work with more experienced analysts to interpret results and identify patterns.
